The hosts always seemed to have a witty comment ready, but unfortunately it was usually at the guest’s expense, which we found really unpleasant. The room itself was unacceptable, with very outdated, mismatched furniture, dark brown carpet, and a bathroom that made the whole impression worse. Given the high rate, the price and quality were completely out of balance. My complaint was heard and I was allowed to switch rooms, which was a positive. I’d advise booking a renovated room directly and making sure you get it.

The hostess made us feel very welcome, and the breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade jams. The packed lunch was great too. We had booked two nights with our dog while walking the Heidschnuckenweg. Our room was lovely, with a terrace and a modern bathroom, and the location was wonderful. We felt completely at ease. Thanks for such a nice stay, we’d love to return!

In the evenings we enjoyed sitting outside in the lovely garden, where the landlady had left drinks for guests to help themselves to. The guesthouse is very quiet, and we slept really well. We were warmly welcomed during our hike on the Heidschnuckenweg, and had a lovely room with an excellent breakfast. The bathroom was great; the only drawback was the somewhat dated carpet. Thanks for a wonderful stay, Ms. Wischhoff! 👍

I felt comfortable in this small single room. It was nicely furnished, thankfully without carpet, and everything was very clean and well looked after. There’s a fridge at reception with drinks you can take, a nice idea.
