The owner and his wife were very friendly and helpful, and there’s even a small library on site. We spent four days here and enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and adequate. The farm is in the heart of the village, close to the bus stop and restaurants. Breakfast was just right, neither too much nor too little. As guests from the USA, we had an advantage because we speak German and are originally from Northern Germany.

The inn has shed its old dingy image, and I think it’s worth a visit. It reopened around mid-November 2019, about three weeks earlier, after a complete renovation of the building. Inside, everything looks classy, and through a glass floor near the entrance you can see a wine cellar. It’s clear they’ve invested a lot. The outdoor areas are still being worked on, but they expect everything to look chic again next year.

Breakfast was good, and the place is relatively cheap if you can put up with the staff’s moods. The furnishings are very dated, and the rooms could at least use a fresh coat of paint. It’s just about acceptable if you’re tough.

It’s dark, very dirty, and completely outdated, so I wouldn’t recommend it. The owner is unfriendly, and breakfast barely deserves to be called breakfast. For what you get, it’s completely overpriced. I wouldn’t pay another cent for it.
