A short walk from the canal and river, with a few restaurants nearby, and the hotel itself has a bar with cold beer on tap. It's about a 10-minute walk to the S-Bahn, then roughly 20-25 minutes by direct train to either the airport or central Munich. Buses are available too. Rooms were clean, the staff really helpful, and breakfast was great. It costs a lot less than staying centrally and is quieter as well. Great value.

Getting around was easy: the railway station is about a ten-minute walk away, with frequent trains to Munich city center and the airport. The hotel sits roughly halfway between them. It was peaceful, the staff were pleasant, the rooms were nice, and breakfast was good.

The staff were friendly, and the rooms are spacious and well equipped, but a lot of the equipment seems old or doesn't work properly. The AC was noisy and didn't cool the room correctly, one towel had a hole, and there was no central lighting control by the bed. The restaurant was below par, and the hotel looks like it could use a makeover soon. Fine for a quick stay, but don't expect much.

The parking was the one real hassle. It's very small, with cars parked one in front of another, and one night two cars blocked ours in. We waited about half an hour for it to be sorted out. The hotel staff were very friendly and did their best to help, though. We liked the rooms and breakfast buffet, and overall it was a great place for a short stay. I'd recommend it.

Breakfast is free and decent, though the bacon can take a while when demand is higher than the supply. The rooms are very clean, and getting a little bag of Haribo on the pillow each day was a nice touch. Some rooms are rather basic, and others may feel a bit unusual to British guests, such as the one with an open-plan bathroom. Generally, a good hotel.
