The proprietor appeared out of nowhere to help us when we arrived to find the lights off, which was a slight surprise. After that, the service was friendly and efficient. It's a very nice old guesthouse in the heart of lower saxony, with spacious rooms in a quaint style. Breakfast is hearty: jams, cold cuts, hard-boiled eggs, two rolls per person, coffee, orange juice, and water. Prices are quite reasonable. We booked a double room for 75 euros, with breakfast for both of us included.

The food was very good, made with fresh regional ingredients. The owners are friendly, humble, and very attentive. The rooms are older, but clean and have everything you need. I thought the price was fair for what we got.

The food was very bad, and overpriced for what it was. It tasted like ready-made food from Aldi. There was no emergency lighting in the hallways or escape plan in the room. The shower was moldy and the bed really uncomfortable. One star is too much.

There was no internet, though I expect they're working on it. The food was good, and breakfast was simple. The place is somewhat inconveniently located and from outside, including the surrounding area, it doesn't look like much. But that impression isn't right. I liked my room and had a balcony. It was very quiet for me, though the TV was awkwardly positioned. I like to watch TV as I fall asleep, and couldn't do that from the bed.
