Landgasthof Waldrast

Everything we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. We stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed both the food and the setting. The dishes are on the expensive side, but I thought they were worth the price.

The evening meal at the restaurant was the best part of our stay. It was busy, which seemed like a good sign, and the menu had a nice range, including delicious seasonal mushroom dishes. With just one place to eat nearby, I was glad it turned out so well. We booked the hotel as a stop on our way back to the UK. Though it sits at a crossroads in the Black Forest, our room was quiet at night and very comfortable. Breakfast was great too. A good stay all round.

We haven't stayed overnight, but we go there for lunch regularly. The location right by an important connecting road makes it easy to get to, and there's plenty of free parking. Sitting outside does mean putting up with some traffic noise.

My wife and I eat here often, and the food is very good. The service is top notch too. Since the renovation, though, the dining area often gets too hot. The Schwarzwald setting is lovely, but the busy road makes eating outdoors less appealing. Still a 4 ⭐ from me.
