The rooms were spotless, stylish in a warm, understated way, and the breakfast was good, with brewed coffee brought to the table. Service was friendly, too. It’s a peaceful place to remember, about a 30-minute drive from Bamberg.

We had dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed it, and breakfast was included in the room price. There was a little of everything at breakfast, and it was excellent without being fancy. The rooms are spacious and very, very clean, though a bit older and carefully maintained. Ours had mosquito screens on the windows and a comfortable, firmer bed, which suited me. Everyone was friendly, and there’s free private parking on site, including some covered spaces. Booking directly on the hotel website may get you a better price.

The restaurant was a real highlight, with excellent Franconian food, and there’s also a nice beer garden by a pond. This family-run hotel sits in a quiet spot near Bamberg, making a good base for exploring the area or a restful stopover. The owners are personally involved, and the service feels warm and attentive. Our recently renovated room was spacious and modern, with a quality bathroom. The breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from. It’s about 45 km from Nuremberg Airport.

The schnitzel was delicious, even better than the good night’s sleep. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We could hear frogs now and then, but that’s nature 😃. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel is close to the A3.
