Hotel Engel

Such kind, thoughtful people and really good service. I'd happily come back.

The staff were so helpful and friendly, and the shops are an easy walk away. We had a lovely stay: a modern, clean room, plenty to choose from at breakfast, and consistently superb dinners. Already looking forward to another visit.

The town was small but interesting, and the hotel had a cool feel, with fun furniture and decor that mixed styles in my room. The staff were friendly, breakfast was included, and it was nice to sit outside to eat, though there wasn't much staff help out there. Unfortunately, the bread seemed stale and the milk seemed spoiled. My bed was uncomfortable for me, too. The rooms were very spacious by German standards, and there’s a restaurant and open-air bar, both of which close at 11 pm. I would've rated it five stars if not for the bed and breakfast.

Right in central Endingen, this is a small, pleasant hotel. Breakfast had a standout buffet selection and is a real bargain at 7 Euros. Restaurant service varied, though, from pleasant and efficient to distracted and forgetful. My room was fine, but the one towel was so rough and scratchy. Small things like that can take away from the stay.
