Acarte

The location is good, with lots of shops nearby, and the hotel offers free Wi-Fi. The room itself was modern and clean. But some kind of air conditioner in the courtyard switched on every morning and ruined the night, even with the window open in summer. Breakfast was below average. The rolls were soggy and pre-baked, the fruit salad was just cocktail fruit, and there was no orange juice. The multi-fruit juice was awful.

I stayed here in summer for a meeting with business partners. The rooms were clean and tidy, but small and sparsely furnished. The heat was the main problem: the sun warmed the hotel during the day, and the rooms got extremely hot and stayed that way through warm nights. Opening the window wasn't much of an option with the nearby station and railway traffic. I'm young enough to put up with the noise, but several colleagues were completely worn out by it. The central location has plenty of bakeries and shops nearby, which helped since breakfast was standard hotel fare and nothing special. Reception staff were friendly, but extremely inflexible and/or incompetent. Management had to get involved in many things and that worked fairly well, though attempts to cancel incorrect bookings didn't succeed. I didn't feel at home, and the stay wasn't relaxing. Whether traveling privately or for work, I wouldn't stay again. It's inexpensive, but asks for too many compromises. I want to use my laptop in my room, not the lobby, and Wi-Fi seemed to be available only on the ground floor. There's potential here, but something needs to be done.
