DORMERO Hotel Weimar

A comfortable, pleasant hotel.

This was the best hotel of my trip in Germany. The complimentary drinks, parking, and cleanliness were all as stated, and I appreciated how the hotel treated its guests. I'll see whether it's part of a hotel chain.

We only stayed one night, and it worked perfectly for us. The room was a good size, everything was very tidy, and the bed was really comfortable. We didn't have breakfast, though it looked tempting. The young staff were friendly and did a great job. Thanks especially to the young colleague who showed us the rooms and pointed us to a great place to eat 👌. The outside scaffolding didn't bother us, since it's part of the renovation. Parking across the road was free 👍. Wishing you continued success!

On my second stay, the reservation made through Expedia was confirmed, yet the hotel initially couldn't find it. The friendly employee located it after a long search. My first booking through TravelPerk had gone smoothly, so this was frustrating. It also seems breakfast was left off the new booking. I was told the next morning, but nobody offered me the chance to add it, so I had to leave with just my coffee. That was something, at least, but these issues mean I'll choose somewhere else on future business trips to the area. There are some real advantages: the location is good, parking directly across the street is free, and drinks in the minibar are complimentary. The inside has newer furniture and fresh paint, though renovation traces are still visible. The building is an old prefabricated GDR-era dormitory, and it remains poorly insulated, with simple windows. It felt especially cold once the temperatures dropped. This was my second and final stay.
