The hotel rooms were really good, and breakfast was nice with plenty to choose from. Service was average, though. There’s no bar by the pool, so you have to go inside to order, and some drinks aren’t allowed poolside. The sunbeds only let you lie on your back 👎🏻 It’s hot inside, so I wanted to open the balcony door, but smoke from people on the balconies and just outside the hotel came into the whole room. There also isn’t much to do nearby, though that may not be surprising for a spa hotel.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were so kind and helpful. We spent a great family holiday here, and both pools were perfect for having fun with the kids. The spa had lots of good options too. We also swam in the sea, though the water was a bit cold 😊. Everything felt high quality and well cared for. We’d love to come back.

The indoor and outdoor pool were the highlight of our stay at SlowDown. We were two adults and two kids, and the almost soundproof baby pool meant the little ones could splash around without disturbing other guests. There were lots of great saunas, and having a luxurious steam sauna right in our room was a real treat. We had a fantastic stay and highly recommend it.

Waking up to the beautiful view was one of my favorite parts. The modern rooms were spotless and thoughtfully designed, and the setting on the Baltic coast felt peaceful and stunning. SlowDown Travemünde was a lovely place to recharge. I felt completely refreshed after the sauna and time in the relaxation areas. The food was outstanding, made with fresh local ingredients, and the wine pairings were great. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout. Highly recommend it for a relaxing stay, and I can’t wait to return!
