We had the Forelle Müllerin and Cordon Bleu for dinner, and both were cooked perfectly and tasted great. The waitress was very friendly. Service could’ve been a little quicker, but it was still a great meal.

I ended up staying here spontaneously after another hotel in Wermelskirchen let me down, and I was pleasantly surprised. The owner made the impossible possible, and I’m very grateful. My room was large, beautifully furnished, and impeccably clean. I felt completely at ease, and anyone wanting quiet and a good night’s sleep in an idyllic setting should find it here. The restaurant is stylish and comfortable too, and the food is delicious. The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere and the hospitality was exceptional.

We were five people out for dinner last night, and it was a really unpleasant experience. The tomato soup starter tasted sour. When we told the owner, who was serving us, she ignored the complaint. She cleared the plate and just said, “She liked the soup and ate it all.” Unbelievable. We sent back the main course, including the side salad. The salad was drenched in oil with no flavor or seasoning, the vegetables were swimming in grease and tasteless, and the supposed veal was dreadful. Service was unfriendly, and the staff seemed unable to take criticism. There’s a lot of room for improvement in customer service. We certainly won’t return.

The breakfast needs work, but the hotel has spacious rooms furnished with care and is full of unique touches. It’s so quiet here that you can sleep with the windows open in complete peace.
