The beds and sofa were comfortable, and the house itself was quiet. Lidl is only about 160 m away, with Edeka and other shops roughly 1 km off. That was the short list of good things for us. There was no Wi-Fi available, and we weren't given any information about it. The place was supposed to be removed from booking.com, where I made the reservation. The sauna mentioned in the listing wasn't there either, despite apparently being included among the amenities. Arriving was a mess from the start. Getting clear instructions about the key took effort, and when we reached the house and told the landlady, she just said it was in the door. The entry is up a metal staircase that has gaps wide enough to catch a dog's paws, so anyone bringing a dog would need to carry it. The entrance is also the balcony, with the door to the other apartment right beside ours, so it doesn't feel very private. Those things might have been manageable on their own. Inside, the balcony opens onto the living room, hall, and kitchen area. Calling it a kitchen is generous: it was poorly equipped, with only one usable pot and a frying pan whose handle was completely loose. Plates and glasses were adequate, but there wasn't enough cutlery for four people. The tap was fitted incorrectly, with hot water coming on when turned left even when shut. The toaster, kettle, and coffee machine were dusty, and the corners weren't clean. The bathroom window wouldn't open or close properly. The fence didn't provide enough privacy either, and a neighbor could see women's breasts when they showered. The tap was loose and badly rotted. Upstairs, the stair corners were dirty, the floor covering was peeling in one spot, and exposed adhesive could be walked on without socks. In the small upstairs room, a piece of wood with a screw sticking out of the floor was a clear hazard. That was also the only room with a wardrobe. Water connections protruded from a wall in the back corner, another injury risk for small children or dogs. The listing said there were two rooms with a double bed in each, but the small room actually had a sofa bed, though it was comfortable. The large bedroom did have a comfortable double bed. There was only one curtain, and it wasn't properly attached; it looked bad and didn't block the light, which is a problem in summer. Two small windows only tilt open, so airing the place was difficult. The described fire extinguisher was missing, and the bedroom smoke detector had been removed. There was no broom or mop for cleaning, and waste sorting wasn't possible with only a small bin under the sink. No one explained where to take rubbish, even though several non-holiday residents live there. The landlady also demanded a tourist tax that had already been paid online, as shown on the invoice. She wouldn't accept that and reacted very impulsively when we pointed it out. We paid again, then got the money back through Booking.com. Booking.com also tried to explain how she should handle it and pointed this out to her. She stayed stubborn, didn't pay a second time, and told us to contact Booking.com. She came to settle the bill only on the third day. I would only suggest this place for a stay of no more than two nights, and for people without children or pets.

I ended up cancelling because the landlady was so unfriendly. I tried several times, but it was impossible to communicate with her.
