Landhaus Wertach

Hubert really looks after his guests, and everything is kept tidy and in good condition. The house is quiet and cozy, with excellent holiday apartments. The sauna area is well worth trying.

We felt right at home, just with a much better view. The apartment had everything we needed, and the owners were very friendly. Oberallgäu is a great area for families with children, with plenty of different places to visit and something for everyone. We'd love to return.

We booked last October for this year's ski holiday and felt at home as soon as we arrived. Renate and Hubert are incredibly welcoming, and the whole country house has a cozy feel, from the thoughtful furnishings to the inviting wellness area. It's a lovely, peaceful place. The apartments come in three sizes and are very well equipped for couples or families with children. The fitness and wellness areas, plus the drying room we used for our skis, are included in the price. There are soft drinks, wine, and beer in the house beverage cellar at very fair prices. We found Landhaus Wertach to be a top choice for value in the Oberjoch ski area. We all hope to spend our next ski holiday here too. Thanks so much to Renate and Hubert for your hospitality.

The little extras really stood out: reception had around 20 magazines, board games, children's toys, and DVDs, including plenty of classics and other good films. There's also a huge wardrobe with lots of hangers, a bathtub, a hairdryer, and a separate room with a washing machine, dryer, and ironing board. Each apartment has either a balcony or a terrace with a small lawn, depending on which one you rent. I thought the curtains were a little too sheer, though that may come down to personal preference. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful, and clearly want guests to have a pleasant stay. The sauna runs to a fixed schedule, but you can arrange a time with them. Massages are available too, along with bicycles, a fitness room with a treadmill and more, and a drinks room with prices close to cost. There's a small wine cellar, several kinds of beer, Wi-Fi, TV, an elevator, a garage, and a large, comfortable lounge. Cows graze in the field behind the house, their bells ringing in the distance, which adds to the Allgäu feel. Almost everything you need is within a 10-minute walk, and the bikes are handy too. Even a very forgetful person could stay organized here and leave feeling relaxed. City dwellers needn't worry about plane noise, it's unheard of.
