Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, but the food was a real letdown. We had booked for Easter hoping to eat at the hotel, only to be told there was no restaurant. Breakfast the next morning was a disaster: freezer rolls that crumbled, jam portions that ran out quickly, a few slices of sausage, bottled orange juice, and coffee with hardly any taste. No fruit, cake, cheese, croissants, or Black Forest ham. The person who had let us in at 4 pm the day before seemed unconcerned and kept carrying an empty tray back and forth, apparently keen to clear everything away quickly. For €9, it didn't feel like a proper German breakfast. We were very disappointed, though fortunately we found a table at the neighboring restaurant/hotel, where the food was much better and the staff were really friendly. We've also had better breakfasts elsewhere.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out were easy. The room rate was reasonable. The view is the big draw, so I'd try for a mountain-facing room. As far as I could tell, those rooms also had balconies. The room itself was spacious, clean, and modern, with a walk-in shower, plush carpet, intact furniture, and two armchairs plus a little table, which was a real bonus. Bathroom fittings worked well, and there were lots of outlets for electronics. Breakfast felt a bit sparse, and the breakfast room looked as though it had seen better days. At €6 it wasn't especially expensive, but still seemed a little out of place. The towel setup could be handled better too. You need to leave a deposit at reception and pay €2.50 per person, as of May 2018. Since towels often end up in travelers' suitcases, which I find regrettable and see far too often around the world, perhaps the cost could be included in the room price. Bringing your own saves that charge. My star rating is just my subjective impression at that moment.

It sits at the end of a cul-de-sac, so the location is very quiet, with parking right outside. The rooms are large, spotless, and look newly renovated, and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is available and was okay, while a restaurant is about 150 meters down the road. It seems this used to be a hotel before closing. When it reopened as a guesthouse, things like the kitchen, elevator, and pool had been removed. Good place to stay for the price.

A peaceful spot with a lovely mountain view, and a great choice for a romantic weekend. The room and bathroom were both clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly. Just check the check-in hours when booking, or let the hotel know when you'll arrive.
