The breakfast was huge and had plenty of variety, and the restaurant meal I got to try was very tasty. I was quite satisfied with it, and the prices seemed about like everywhere else in Wittenberg. The restaurant was unfortunately on its seasonal break, so I only got to eat there once. The building is a bit worn, but my room was clean and very spacious. The flat-screen TV had a few DVB-T channels, though about half had heavy picture static. A good-value clean room with a remarkable breakfast.

We had our confirmation celebration there. The table looked lovely, and the cake was very good and plentiful. But the service and the owner were an absolute disaster. She had no sense of friendliness, and I've never felt so unwelcome as a guest. There weren't even other guests at the hotel, yet she rushed us to leave. Unfortunately, never again.

Try for a room at the back, as the hotel is really noisy. Ours was clean and spacious, with a very nice bathroom. At night the courtyard is locked, so our bikes were safe in the storage room. Breakfast was very good, the staff were friendly, and the old town is a short walk away. With a back room, I'd recommend it.

We were there for Luther's wedding in 2017. Apart from the bed and bathroom, I had serious complaints about pretty much everything. The service was unfriendly, and it was obvious the "girl" had no interest in her job. The TV in our room didn't work properly, with awful static on every channel; my friends had the same problem in their rooms. The bathroom also lacked a small refrigerator and a hairdryer. The inside of the hotel made a terrible impression. We came in through the side entrance and were immediately met with a dilapidated stairwell. They charged 100% more for the special occasion, which was outrageous, especially since we'd stayed at a much better hotel the year before for far less. Five of us, in two double rooms and one single, paid €660 for two days. At that price I wouldn't have complained if everything else had been okay. We certainly wouldn't recommend it.
