Hotel Haus Singer

The room felt uncomfortable and poorly kept. There was dust on the clothes rail, and the toilet brush holder was broken, so I couldn't properly clean the toilet after using it. The heating was unreliable too, barely warming the room even at its highest setting and sometimes not working at all. That made things especially unpleasant when it was cool. I also found only one large towel in the room, with no smaller one for hands or face. When I asked at reception, I was told each guest gets just one towel, so I had to use the same large towel for everything. I found that unacceptable, and the room fell short of what I expected for cleanliness and comfort. I seriously wonder how a hotel can operate like that.

Parking was simple, with the hotel lot right across the way. The reception staff were very friendly, and the intercom system was an interesting touch. After that, you collect your key from the key safe.

That shower was a pain to adjust, jumping between very hot and cold 😬, so I took off a star. The hotel itself is cozy and very clean, with old-fashioned charm, good service, and a generous breakfast buffet.

Breakfast was good, and the server was really nice, though she seemed to be handling everything on her own and was very busy. The old building was noisy, and my room wasn't very clean. It was dusty, and there was mold in the shower.
