We stayed five nights at this farm with our two young daughters and loved it. The drive from Wolfach and Schiltach goes deep into the hills, ending in a wonderfully quiet spot. At night there was no noise at all, and we could see the stars. It's a beautiful setting for anyone looking for peace and quiet. We hope to return.

The pod house had a magnificent view, and sitting outside in summer was fantastic. But it feels far too small when the weather is cold or bad. There's a sauna in the log cabin, though it wasn't very clean when we visited, and the plunge pool was out of order. A lot of the place needs renovation.

We've brought our caravan to Äckerhof for Easter for the second time because we love how peaceful it is. The farm is a dream, and everything would have been perfect again if our camping neighbors hadn't been loud from morning to night, acting as though no one else was there. It's a shame to have days spoiled like that. People like them might be better off at a tent site. I'm still giving five stars because the owners aren't responsible for campers like that.

We turned up with our caravan for a spontaneous weekend, and the location was stunning. The hosts made us feel so welcome, almost like we were visiting friends ❤️. Everything else was top-notch too.
