TRYP by Wyndham Wuppertal

The staff were good, and breakfast was very good, but I wouldn't come back. Our room was dirty, and although we asked for a double, we were given one with an extra sofa bed, which we folded away. They offered another room, but that had a single bed as well as the double, still not what we wanted. The outdoor areas near the closed swimming pool were dirty and run down.

The location worked really well for us, with the highway less than a minute away. Wuppertal Zoo is about a six-minute drive or a 20-minute walk. For the price, this place is amazing. The staff are patient and kind, and the breakfast has loads of choice, including vegan and gluten-free options, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, breads, croissants, jams, yoghurts, and more. The rooms aren't five-star, but they're clean, cared for, spacious, and comfortable. The beds are great, and there's even a bath. We were very pleased with our stay and would come back.

Checking out was the only good moment. I was here for nearby business and only needed a room to sleep and shower, so I wasn't looking for luxury. But the shower barely had any water pressure, the toilet buzzed constantly, and the room wasn't cleaned every day even though I'd paid for that. The room itself was also badly cleaned, with lots of missed, gross spots. The hotel is by the highway and an intersection where cars wait at night with loud music. Dinner wasn't good either, the Argentinean beef had a lot of fat. I have nothing positive to say. Never again.

It gets kicked out at 10.00 if you're still at breakfast, and the hotel says it only offers breakfast, so don't expect hot water or a kettle. The room was really cold because the radiators didn't work. Water pressure at the tap was so weak I couldn't wash my hair. The hotel is dirty.
