We enjoyed the superb wine in a pleasant garden by the river, then bought a couple of bottles to take home.

We only meant to have a glass of wine, but ended up in heaven with a whole bottle and a basket of cheese and bread. The staff were friendly and helpful. Totally recommended.

The local flambeed Tarte was delicious and refreshing, and we enjoyed it with wine.

This Weingut is at the end of Zell, towards the Black Cat roundabout. You serve yourself, then cross the street to sit at a table under the trees or closer to the water. It’s nice to find a place that has snacks with its wine, since many weinguts don’t serve food. They offer cheese and grapes, pretzels, and Flammkuchen, plus a few cocktails on the wine list.

Some of my favourite wines are made by Hallenbach, so I was glad to visit the wine shop. I wish I could come more often.
