There’s so much to see in the area that one week isn’t enough to take it all in, so we’ll certainly return. The hosts are very friendly and still make time to look after guests personally. Our room was clean, and the owner’s cooking was delicious. Breakfast was plentiful, with lots of variety.

We felt right at home in the clean, comfortable room. The hosts were such lovely people, and breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from. We also recommend dinner. After three nights, we know we'll be back.

We had a good weekend at the "Alte Schmiede" guesthouse in Rabenstein. The room was roomy, the shower was excellent, and the staff were friendly. Dogs were welcome for a small extra charge, and questions were always met with a polite response. We’d recommend the place and would book it again for future trips to the Bavarian Forest. The main drawbacks were the unstable internet, which dropped out often, and breakfast at €11.00, which felt pricey for what was served. Still, everything else was fine, and we'd gladly stay again.
