CABINN Apartments

I spent a week at the Cabinn Apartments, after staying at Cabinn Metro before, and liked the privacy. Everything in the apartment worked well. The one thing I’d ask is to vacuum the carpeted part before the next guest arrives. When I got in, it seemed like it hadn't been vacuumed for quite a while, which I suppose explains the smell. Apart from that, no issues, and I really enjoyed the stay. Ørestad is a great residential area, with easy access to the city centre, airport, Royal golf course, Royal arena and Amager beach park.

I still feel deeply upset about how I was treated here in June last year, when I was in town for a conference. A major flight delay left me stranded, so I tried to book a room for the night. The woman on duty at reception responded with visible disgust, saying, “I’ve got no room for you.” Then she asked, “Why would you come to a country without booking a hotel?” I was a professional looking for somewhere to stay and pay for a service, not begging. The contempt, xenophobia and blatant rudeness were shocking, as was the lack of basic human decency and the judgmental attitude. I’d strongly advise people who expect respectful, professional service to avoid this place.

The main drawback was the bathroom. It's small, the shower isn't separate from the toilet and sink area, and the shower curtain needs replacing. I wonder if the rooms get unbearably warm in summer, since mine was slightly too hot in October even with the temperature being [source text ends unfinished]. Otherwise, the room was clean and spacious. I'd chosen a double room for one person and was pleasantly surprised, especially given the prices at nearby hotels. Breakfast was lovely, with a good range of food and drinks. I arrived two hours before check-in, but they had no problem assigning me a room. It's convenient for Bella centre and the airport, and the Metro is close for quick trips into the centre.

Parking was a mess. You have to enter your licence plate to register, but one of the machines was out of order. It took several tries, and we still weren't sure the car had been registered correctly. Another parked car had a cracked window, and although we told reception, the glass shards weren't cleared away. The hotel is very close to the Metro and trains, which is great, and breakfast was great too. The room was okay apart from a few issues: it was relatively small, the bed was much smaller than a standard double, and showering left the whole bathroom floor wet. An AC would have helped, since the noise meant we couldn't keep the windows open at night. The receptionist was a little rough during check-in, and I didn't feel welcomed.
