Milling Hotel Ansgar

The breakfast ran out of coffee mugs, and the selection was very limited. The furniture was all quite worn and used. The bathroom had poor ventilation and nothing else to recommend it. The bed and pillows were much too soft, and I woke up with a bad body ache. The room also smelled musty and old. The location is great, right in the centre.

The shower on the second floor barely had any water pressure, which made it unpleasant. Breakfast was fine overall, though the staff seemed rushed and some trays stayed empty for a while. The hotel’s in a good spot, and the room was clean, neat, and practical. Reception were polite and helpful, and the free coffee and snacks in the lobby were a nice, welcoming touch. A little more calm at breakfast would make a difference.

I had a really lovely stay at two hotels in this chain. Amalie and Trine at reception deserve a special thank you. They were warm, attentive, and ready to help with anything. Their service felt outstanding, the kind of care you don’t often come across, even at five-star hotels. Thanks for making everything so welcoming 💫

The room was tiny and poorly maintained, and the bathroom smelled bad and didn’t feel clean. I couldn’t relax or get proper rest. Even with low occupancy, the hotel didn’t seem to assign rooms sensibly. The old building carries every sound, and each footstep from upstairs felt like someone was walking in my room. For the price and what I expected from a hotel, this was a complete letdown. I can’t recommend it.
