When we asked for a little more time before checking out, room service came in to tidy up. She made the beds but left the same sheets on. They didn't change them at all, so be careful.

The fridge kept making an annoying noise, so I couldn't sleep. Then, in the middle of the night, reception called for no reason, gave no explanation, and hung up. Thank goodness I was only there for one day. It wasn't a pleasant stay.

I've stayed at the Hydra Hotel several times, and the staff have always been friendly and nice. The rooms are clean and feel safe. Its location works perfectly for me, with the restaurants in Sidi Yaya within walking distance. Taxis are easy to find, or the hotel can call one, which is especially useful for getting to the airport or an important business meeting.

Set at the start of hydra, this hotel has a nice city-centre location and moderate prices. It isn't especially new or fancy, but staying there definitely brings back a few decades of nostalgia.
