Hostal Balcon del Cielo

The breakfast was excellent, served on the balcony overlooking the river. The location worked well, right in central Baños but just beyond the busiest area. A couple of things to know before booking: some rooms face directly onto the river, so you can hear the stream, and they wanted to charge us an 8% fee for paying by credit card.

The view from the hotel was beautiful, and it was easy to walk into the rest of town. The owner was helpful with suggestions for things to do and arranged tours through a local company. Breakfast was included in the morning and tasted delicious. A great hotel in Baños.

Breakfast on the balcony was wonderful, and it tasted great. The view is surreal, absolutely gorgeous. The hotel was clean, the staff kind, and the Wi-Fi was great. It’s conveniently close to the bus station without being right in downtown, and makes a great base for adventures.

The beds were comfy, and we felt safe and secure. There’s even a place to park if you’re traveling by car. It’s close to town while still being outside the chaos, with beautiful river views and hot water. Keep walking down the road and cross the river to find a lovely little footbridge, lit up and beautiful at night.
