The staff made my stay especially memorable. Maira, Jair, Herman, and Blanca were so attentive, and the courtyard is beautiful. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated, and have pristine bedding. The property is well maintained and centrally located, and I had a truly magical time there. There was just one small downside: an occasional truck roaring through town at 6 am. I'm used to noisy traffic as a New Yorker, but in a quiet town like this it could be jarring for some. For me, that was minor compared with the beautiful place and kind people working there.

I spent three days here last week and had a really nice stay. The room was extremely clean, and breakfast was available the next morning. There's some morning noise, so it may be worth choosing a room away from the road. I was getting up around then anyway, so it didn't bother me much, but it's something to keep in mind. The owner was around and gave me local tips for shopping and lunch. Breakfast is included, and the on-site restaurant has a nice menu. There's also a spa room where you can arrange a massage, plus a sauna. My room was comfortable, with a king-size bed and a balcony facing the street, and the location is good. The town is known for leather goods, from boots to bags and coats, including custom-made pieces. Prices are amazing, and most items are good to superior quality.

The owners are American, and this is a great hotel right in downtown Cotacachi. It's central to everything, the rooms are great, and the rates are more than reasonable. Their prime rib dinner is the best in the city.
