For just $25, everything was included, and it was a wonderful experience. At Señora Laurita's house, we felt right at home. She gave us a delicious churro drink, and we got to share the November 2nd traditions with her family. It's 5 minutes from downtown Cotacachi and a 15-minute drive from the Otavalango Museum.

The cabin is close to Cotacachi's center, yet far enough away to escape the noise, and its setting is beautiful. The children enjoyed playing with the alpacas, and the service was excellent. The house has good equipment, though the shower's hot water and the refrigerator weren't working properly.

We had the whole house, with a living room and fireplace that we tried, plus a fully equipped kitchen. There are two separate bedrooms, one with four beds and the other with three, and another bed in the attic, which has no sanitary facilities. Both bedrooms have their own shower, toilet and sink. There isn't a dishwasher, but the owner washed the dishes in the morning. It's a very nice, stylish place in the middle of the village. The owner is pleasant and communicative. She only speaks Spanish, but found someone who spoke English too. I'd recommend it if village life and a bit of nerve-wracking driving on narrow roads don't bother you. The roads are on Google Maps.
