Tomas was my private guide on a multi-day trip around Ecuador, and he was fantastic. He knows the country well and is clearly passionate about all it has to offer. I didn't actually stay at the guest house, but if he looks after it the way he looked after me, I'd definitely stay there.

I wanted a local feel, so it was nice that Jose took me by bus to three of the main nearby attractions. Jose and Narzica were kind and helpful throughout. The kitchen was available to use, which meant I didn't have to eat out all the time. They also rent mountain bikes for anyone wanting exercise at high altitude. I saw lots of locals running and biking. The garden is lovely and relaxing, and the place was very clean. My room had its own bathroom and hot water.

We ended up staying longer than planned, thanks to the great breakfast, coffee or tea available all day, and a kitchen guests can use. It's tucked away in a lovely garden, a calm place to relax. There's good Wi-Fi and two separate lounge areas. More like a high-end hostel with private rooms. The city center and a good supermarket are only a 10-minute walk away.

The outdoor areas are beautiful, the hosts are very friendly, and the place is very clean. Breakfast was huge and tasty. Highly recommended.
