Hotel Inés María

The service is the reason I keep coming back. Gabriela, Alex, Mikey, Joanna, and the other university students are excellent, and they take care of whatever I need. They’ve called taxis and done my laundry for a small charge, and I always tip too. The daytime garden is a lovely spot for yoga or meditation, especially when everyone else is out shopping. I like the cold, though my friend didn’t, so I bring layers and wear socks at night. The downstairs rooms get more hallway noise and feel colder, while it’s warmer upstairs. They provide plenty of blankets. My one real problem is payment: they’ve stopped taking credit cards and only accept cash or transfers from local banks. Carrying a lot of cash feels dangerous, and that makes longer stays difficult for me. I usually stay a week or two, and I hope they bring cards back so I don’t have to find another hotel. I hate giving it four stars, but I think that rating is fair.
