Hotel NASS Casa del Aguila

The people were awful, and the service felt poor, almost aggressive. The hotel seems neglected now: it’s dated and dirty, though it was once beautiful. Cuenca is a wonderful city, so don’t let this place spoil your stay. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.

The employees were very friendly, and I liked the hotel’s character, especially the wood floors and doors. My room was quite small, the bathroom could use better lighting, and breakfast was simple.

We made great memories here with my family and my sister-in-law’s family. Andres and his staff were professional, friendly, and helped with everything, including our breakfast preferences and a family illness during the stay. They made us feel at home. The comfortable rooms have awesome views, and the location is close to everything. The venue also has historical value, with amazing photos on its website. I highly recommend Hotel Casa del Aguila if you’re visiting Cuenca - Ecuador.

I love the balconies and the birds in the back garden, and everything is super clean and beautiful. I’ve been staying on the top floor overlooking the garden for several weeks. The staff, including Andres, Adriana, Lorena, Alba, Carmen, Marina, and others, are caring and helpful, and feel like family. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and they accommodated my vegan food needs. The coffee is smooth, the best I’ve ever had. It’s a historic patrimonial house, so you can hear other guests coming and going, but most nights things settle down by 11pm. The location is convenient. There’s a Mexican restaurant around the corner with rooftop dining, plus other restaurants near Parque San Sebastián. Thank you, Hotel Casa del Águila, for a wonderful stay!
