San Blas Hotel & Suites Ecuador

The rooms are spacious, clean, modern, nicely decorated, and well equipped with a fridge and microwave. Breakfast is great, and the staff did their best to make our stay pleasant. It’s a nice hotel, but be ready for a lot of noise. There’s traffic right outside on the stone street, with big trucks and buses passing very close to the building. Room 1 seems especially exposed. On the other side, neighbors play loud music and have a barking dog. Since the place is small, kitchen and breakfast room sounds can also be bothersome in the morning. Earplugs are a must. The staff were very nice, but the young men who opened the parking gate asked me for an extra $20 for arriving early. It was 13:00, while check-in is at 14:00, and that charge was almost half the room price for one hour. I refused and got into my room anyway. All the rooms were empty and ready, so they didn’t need to do anything extra for me.
