The beds were clean and comfortable, and there are outlets by them, though some didn’t work. I’d say this is a very budget-friendly option in Cuenca for a night or two, but not for a longer stay. The hostel is small and nice, though it’s starting to feel old. I’d booked a four-person dorm and was mistakenly placed in a six-person one; no one spoke English, so I couldn’t sort it out. The kitchen wasn’t very clean, and the fridge smelled bad when opened. The bathroom is only partly separated from the room and barely ventilated, with mold across the ceiling and on parts of the shower curtain.

The people working at Wild Monkey Hostel were so nice, and the whole place was clean with a relaxed atmosphere. I slept well in the comfortable beds, and you can wash 1 Kg of cloth for free. Some evenings we had a fire in the fireplace. I had a lovely stay and can recommend it to everyone :))

The location was really good, and the price, including breakfast, was super affordable. The hostel was clean and comfy, and I felt welcome right away. I had the best time talking, eating, and dancing with the staff, volunteers, and guests. It felt like a warm hug :)

It was cheap and really close to the center, but there are better hostels at almost the same price. The bathroom, especially the shower area, was always dirty, the shower curtain was horrible, and sometimes there was no hot water. If you sleep on the top bunk, you might not have a plug because the person below can use both.
