Breakfast had an incredible range, and everything I tried tasted great. I couldn't get through it all. We ate at El Patio and La Fondue, and both were very good. There’s also a coffee and cake spot, plus a shop selling gifts and artwork. The pool was a comfortable temperature and just right for cooling off after a hot day out. Our room was huge, with two massive beds and a large bathroom stocked with decent toiletries. Everything was spotless, and fragrance misters around the hotel kept it smelling lovely. The hotel is enormous and beautifully styled, and the staff were attentive. They even checked on us about ten minutes after check-in to make sure the room was all right. One small drawback: there were only two bottles of water in the room, and the hotel didn’t provide more in the evening. Going outside at night isn’t recommended, so that was inconvenient.

Hotel Oro Verde has been my first and only choice through all my years of visiting Guayaquil. The welcome starts as soon as you arrive: the staff are friendly, make you feel at ease, and consistently take extra care of you. Their professionalism and attention to detail make each visit easy and enjoyable. It feels like a home away from home, and I wouldn't think of staying elsewhere.

I booked a room six months ahead, but management changed my reservation. They said they were upgrading me to make up for the hassle, but it felt like a downgrade instead. The room was old, smelled moldy, and the AC didn't work properly. For a supposed four-star hotel, it was a huge disappointment. At the same price, I’d choose the Hilton, Radisson, or Sheraton in Guayaquil, which lived up to their reputations.

I was there for a conference for about four days and had a really pleasant stay. The employees treated us very well, the rooms were comfortable, and the food was delicious. The conference room was nice too. It’s a very nice hotel, highly recommended!

After my Galapagos trip, I stayed at ORO Verde Hotel for four nights. It was my first time in Ecuador and Guayaquil, and the hotel and staff were even better than I expected from the booking site. If I’m back in Guayaquil, I’ll choose it again. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
