Unipark by Oro Verde Hotels

We left after less than an hour. The hotel felt very neglected, had an odd smell, and raised serious health and safety concerns for us. To reach our supposedly private room after check-in, we were taken through two public shopping centre lifts. We paid lastminute.com for an upgrade for two nights, but the place looks nothing like it did six years ago. We're also confused and worried that it's now part of the Oro Verde chain. We raised that with their five-star Oro Verde sister hotel down the road, but so far they've said it has nothing to do with them. We were visiting for both business and a holiday, and lost precious time and money finding somewhere else where we could work, relax, and catch up.

Breakfast at the restaurant was unbeatable, and the manager Edison Pirigua gave us such warm attention. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and handy access to a small mall. I did notice a musty smell in my room, though. Borrowing an air purifier was a great idea and helped me sleep much better. Across the street, you can watch lots of iguanas in the park, which adds a unique charm. I highly recommend the place.

The rooms felt modern and the beds were very comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and accommodating too. When they noticed I wanted coffee in the lobby and there wasn't any ready, they made some fresh, and a woman came out of her office to offer alternatives. They also gave me a beautifully decorated, delicious birthday cake. I really appreciate it.

We arrived early and were able to leave our bags while we went out for the day, until the room was ready. The staff were very friendly, and any issue we had was sorted easily. It's well located near the main part of town. Breakfast was good, the gym had plenty of equipment, and our room was clean with comfortable beds.
