There was no water, and the bathrooms were dirty. The owner, who was also the receptionist, was very rude. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

My son said the chicken was the best he’d ever had. My vegetarian dish, unfortunately, was the worst.

I really enjoyed the quiet and all the open space, with gardens and a lovely view over Yaguarcocha Lagoon. The rooms are spacious, too. It’s an older hotel, but its location right by the water is great.

Breakfast was frustrating: if you arrive first, they don’t serve you right away. You have to wait until they decide to bring something, unless you insist. The pillows were awful, like rocks. My ground-floor room was also impossible to rest in, with event noise from the hotel and people walking through the hallway.
