The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the rooms were as clean as an older property could be. Still, they feel dated and need renovation. The breakfast area, exterior, and reception have been updated, but the rooms haven't. A musty smell lingered, and with windows opening onto the hallway, getting fresh air meant giving up quiet. If you're stopping in transit, the bus terminal is a fairly long walk, over 15 minutes.

Getting around is easy since the hotel is near the town center, and there's a parking area that's locked at night. The rooms are cozy and comfortable; mine even had a lovely leather couch. The staff were warm and went out of their way to help. For hiking gear rentals, they can connect you with someone in town to help arrange them.

We felt safe here, and the large rooms were clean with plenty of hot water. The hotel is right in the center of Latacunga, with courteous, friendly staff and a nice restaurant. We'd recommend it as a stop before the Quilotoa Loop.

Don Enrique, the owner, gave us useful local suggestions and even arranged a great tour at the last minute. We really appreciated his help. We had a great stay at Endamo!

The owner was kind, and the room had everything we needed. But the hallway-facing window let in a lot of noise, and the smoke detector's blinking light was really annoying.
