The staff were helpful, breakfast was enjoyable, and our room was clean and modern. We only had one night at REEC Latacunga because our Ecuador trip was unfortunately so short, and I wish we'd had more time there. The shower had wonderfully hot water, and the stay went beyond what we expected.

The hotel is clean, quiet, and safe, with an Italian restaurant and a deli/coffee shop downstairs. We also enjoyed the outdoor patio/courtyard and rooftop terrace, which had beautiful views of the city and mountains. We ended up staying four days because of the CONAIE protests in June 2022. The staff were extremely helpful throughout, keeping us safe, comfortable, and fed. Eventually, they arranged transport that got us around the roadblocks and back to Quito.

The room had a window facing the hallway, barely any ventilation beyond a loud machine, and a musty smell that wouldn't go away. It was an absolute nightmare. Avoid it.

The staff were super friendly, and breakfast was very good. It's a really good, new, modern hotel, with an Italian restaurant attached that serves very good food for not much money. There's also a small shop selling good sandwiches.
