The birdsong and views from our room were lovely, and we ate really well at the restaurant. There was plenty of choice, and everything we tried tasted great. Everyone was so welcoming, thoughtful and helpful. Marco and Bryan especially went out of their way for us and made us feel at home. Dana and Kira, the dogs, were the best too. We checked out this morning after two nights and already wish we’d booked a longer stay. The property is beautiful. We’ll definitely return and would highly recommend it.

Watching birds from our balcony was a special part of the trip, whether you’re a nature person or not. The food was consistently good, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. David L. was the standout for us, as both our bird tour guide and driver. A big thank you to Marco (GM) for making the place so welcoming, and to Brian for being such a fantastic waiter. We came for my partner’s birthday and couldn’t have chosen a better hotel. It made for a unique, relaxing getaway, and we’d absolutely come back.

We even treated ourselves to the on-site spa, where the massages were very nice. They also offer facials and mani-pedis, and room service is available for lunch and dinner if you’d rather stay in. There was so much nature around us. Without leaving the grounds, we spotted more than 25 kinds of birds. Mindo is close enough to walk to, while the hotel still feels tucked into the cloud forest. Staff were super friendly and can help arrange birdwatching or day tours in the area. Breakfast is included, with a good choice of food. It was just the break we needed from busy city life, and I’d highly recommend this place for a visit to Ecuador.

The grounds are beautifully kept and feel safe, with lovely flora and fauna all around. It was peaceful, and the weather was perfect. The staff were kind and attentive, the food was delicious, especially the desserts, and the à la carte breakfast was excellent. We hadn’t planned to stay long, but they replied quickly and kindly made room for us without a reservation. We loved the Luxury Bungalow so much on the first night that we extended our stay and moved to the Master Suite for the second. Both rooms were beautiful and comfortable, with spotless interiors, firm comfortable mattresses, quality white linens and thoughtful details. They also arranged a twin bed for our son and brought an extra piece of furniture when we asked. This has become one of my favorite places in the world. We can’t wait to return. Thank you for such warm hospitality and service.
