A lovely view of the water from most floors, and you can watch surfing and yoga on the beach. There are even cows in the yard, and the local family who owns the place gives you a feel for Ecuador. Just keep in mind there are many flights of stairs to reach the rooms.

We found it over a holiday weekend after looking at lots of other places, and it turned out to be perfect. The room was clean and had A/C and TV. It’s close to the beach, which was handy since you can’t really park inside Montañita at night. We just walked five minutes to downtown. Breakfast was included and served on a terrace with a great view and hammocks. I’d definitely come back.

A great place in Montanita, actually in La Punta, about 1/4 mile outside El Pueblo. It’s quiet, close to the beach, and there are good people around. No party noise next door. There’s a nice breeze, a great view, and a rooftop terrace with a hammock. The rooms are clean and a good size. From the rooftop you get that amazing view, and there are restaurants to either side. It’s a five-minute walk to Montanita. They also have an amazing dog!
