There’s a lovely sense of peace in nature here, though the house is only half a block from the main road and 2 km from Nanegalito. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it works well for a short stay. The house has some nice touches, but I’d suggest adding bath towels and improving the water pressure.

The house is spacious and clean, with almost everything needed for personal care and cooking, including salt and oil, though there are no towels. It’s very quiet at night, but the neighbors’ dogs are nearby and bark constantly during the day. Pets are allowed; it’s best to carry yours to the accommodation or keep it leashed, since the dogs bark a lot at other pets. The area gets very dark after sunset, but the house is on a separate property, so I felt safe. Check-in is handled by a manager, while details and communication with the owners go through WhatsApp. My car was small, so I didn’t drive all the way to the house to avoid problems. There’s a steep downhill stretch, as shown in the photo, though larger cars probably wouldn’t have trouble.

The hosts were so kind and helpful, and we really enjoyed having a barbecue at the spacious, clean, fully equipped house. It’s a wonderful place in the Andean Chocó, with good value for money, and we’ll definitely return! Nearby you’ll find a pharmacy, mini-market, bakeries, and a gas station, as well as attractions including Frajares cafeteria just steps away, the Paz de las Aves refuge, Yaku Quinde, Tulipe, and waterfalls.

We loved that this well-equipped little house has two kitchens, one indoors and one outside, and it has everything you need for a getaway. It’s also a peaceful place for a spiritual retreat with God. Highly recommended.
