The hosts are such kind, lovely people, and Patricio really knows his birds. We had a peaceful, wonderful stay at Mindoloma, with great birding at the lodge, on the waterfall trail, and at neighboring Las Cotingas reserve. I’d absolutely recommend staying a few nights.

The waterfall trail was stunning, and much longer than I expected. It’s not the usual stroll from a hotel. Mindo Loma isn’t a fancy lodge, and it’s about 15 minutes from Mindo, but the location is lovely, with excellent hummingbirds, tanagers, and lots of other birdlife. The staff were really nice and helpful. I want to come back.
