I was there recently for an event and was very disappointed with the service from the staff and bartenders. The decorations and rooms make this one of the best places in town, but this was my third time at the restaurant and the service still leaves a lot to be desired. I’m not happy with the lack of customer service at all.

Inside, Hotel Otavalo turned out to be a luxurious hidden gem, even though the exterior didn’t give that away. The paintings, sculptures, and other artwork were spectacular and showed off the huge talent of local artists. We came with a group of families for the weekend, and the service and attention to detail were incredible. I highly recommend staying here.

The traditional Ecuadorian musicians they brought in moved me to tears. The hotel’s food was fantastic, and the staff were so gracious and attentive, doing everything they could to make our stay special. They even left bite-sized desserts by the bed and made sure I had a gluten-free treat. My room was over the dining room, so it got a bit noisy, and a rooster was up early too. Still, this was the highlight of our trip. I’d recommend it 1000%. You must stay here!
