The colorful hotel gets lovely sun, and you can enjoy the view from either of the two patios or eat inside. The kitchen has lots of equipment and amenities. Our room was spacious enough for a few nights, with a fairly functional bathroom, very hot water, and WiFi that stayed strong throughout. The staff were really helpful and accommodating. The main downside was the dogs barking at night. It kept us from getting enough sleep on the first night, though we don’t blame the owners. Our room was right beside the street, so it may have been quieter in the other rooms.

There are lots of nearby hiking trails as well as the handicraft market, and the owner can share information if you need it. The rooftop is beautiful, with a wonderful view and stunning sunsets. My room was very comfortable and quiet, and the staff were warm and friendly. I feel secure staying here, and return whenever I’m in Otavalo.

We had a clean room, hot water for showers, and access to a roomy kitchen. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the terrace has a fantastic view of the city center and mountains. A great place to stay.

The owner was really friendly and helpful, and the hostal is about a 10-minute walk from the center. It was okay for one night, but I wouldn’t stay longer. The room smelled a little, and the bathroom could use some work. Bring earplugs unless dogs barking all night doesn’t bother you.

I haven’t found better value for money in Ecuador so far. The place is clean, the bed is comfortable, the shower is warm, and there’s a nice view and a well-equipped kitchen.
