The hacienda had a really calm feel, and the room was cozy and clean. I loved the charming decor and the warm, attentive service. It was a beautiful, peaceful place to get away from the city. We had a lovely stay and would definitely come back!

We had a delicious three course dinner for a reasonable additional charge, and breakfast was included with the room. Everything we ate was fresh and tasty. Our room was quiet and very comfortable, with a well-stocked bathroom, a shower with amazing hot water, and everything sparkling clean. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the owners and staff are wonderful. We stayed for one night on the way back from Galapagos before heading to Pappallacta. Highly recommend this gem!

The hosts were gracious, and breakfast was the best. Our room was spacious and clean, and the grounds were meticulously maintained. It was a wonderful experience and a bargain, since a comparable stay would have cost three times as much in the U.S.

Rafael, the proprietor, is kind and gracious, and always happy to share the interesting history of his estancia. Su Merced is a beautiful, historic place that makes me feel transported in time. I’ve stayed three times on my visits to Ecuador, and the pictures speak for themselves. Breakfast was delicious too. If you’re looking for an authentic cultural experience, I highly recommend it. I’m looking forward to my next visit next month!
