Galapagos Apartments - Bay View House

The location was good, and the food and drinks were fine. Wi-Fi in the rooms was really bad and only worked at reception. There were a couple of small stains on the blanket, nothing too bad. You can arrange laundry at reception, but it’s expensive.

Breakfast felt like it was made with love, and I’d be happy to return. The service was great, and the place was clean, safe, and centrally located. I stayed in room 7, which had a single bed, a double bed, and a balcony. Taxis zipping up the road could make it a bit noisy out there. Hot water comes from solar heating.

Our stay left a very bitter feeling, even though the hotel looked great in the pictures and is a very nice place. They put us above the coffee shop, which turns into a pub at night. The music and people talking were extremely loud, and in the morning I could hear the TV directly below us as if it were right in the room. Is this really somewhere to rest? Breakfast was so slow that we arrived quite late to our early tours. They should ask guests when they need to leave and plan around that, instead of having people gulp down an omelette and run. The bathrooms also need better ventilation. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxing stay. The rooms are spacious and clean, so it might suit families with kids or older people, but be careful about where your room is.

The room was clean and nice, and the service was good. But there’s a discotheque near the hotel, and the rooms aren’t soundproofed. The noise carries easily and is too stressful to rest.
