Galapagos Morning Glory

The garden is lovely, and the room was simple, with AC and a clean bed. We didn't have hot water when we showered. Still, we gave it five stars for value, especially since we had the same hot-water issue somewhere that cost a lot more, $80 a night.

The good hot shower and location were pluses, but I don't think this place deserved its ratings compared with the other places we stayed in Ecuador and Galapagos. The room had no safe, the WiFi was spotty, the floors were slippery, and it smelled of chemicals. Sheets were old and stained, the blanket was very thin, and there wasn't enough space to open two suitcases. Maybe it was a slow time, but we had to seek out help, and staff spoke very little English. The front area was under construction, with the septic in the front hallway.

We stayed here twice and really liked it. The green patio is lovely, with lots of seating, and there's a well-equipped shared kitchen. The rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable, and had good AC. It’s in a great spot near the end of the main tourist street, quieter there but still just steps from everything. Staff were always friendly and helpful, and they let us store our large luggage twice for several days without any trouble.

The hammocks gave the place a nice feel, and the room was comfortable. Service was great, with daily room cleaning and staff who were very accommodating. The location and comfort made it a great place to stay.
