Galapagos Cottages

Our group of three had a great stay at The Galapagos Cottage. The host was wonderful about replying to our daily messages and arranging tours and cabs, and she kept an eye on everything. She even stocked the fridge with practically all we needed. The cottage was clean and had everything we could want. It’s tucked just off the main drag, so getting anywhere was still a quick walk. We’d happily recommend it.

We really liked this quiet, clean place. It has two floors, a balcony and hammock, plus air conditioning and Internet. The pool was refreshing after a long day trip. The people there were friendly and helped with everything we asked about, including tours and transportation. It’s about a ten-minute walk to the city center, close to Tortuga Bay, and just five minutes from a local restaurant with great seafood.

The hosts were welcoming, proactive, easy to communicate with, and so helpful. We had our two kids with us and would definitely recommend staying here as a family. The cottage, location, and amenities were all fantastic. One of my best experiences, and the location really is amazing. I’d love to bring the family back.

The two things I’d change are the pillows and toiletries, which I think any rental should have covered. Still, we loved our stay and the hosts. The cottages are by the entrance to Tortuga Bay, with the restaurants on Charles Binford a short walk away. There’s also a fruit market and a pier nearby where you can see sharks and other marine life. Charles Darwin Ave is at the other end of town, with higher-end restaurants. I preferred the local food near the market. It’s a peaceful little retreat, with a lush garden and pool that make the outdoor space really inviting. There’s plenty of seating and dining space outside, too, and we even had a guest join us for breakfast on our last day. On arrival, we found fresh fruit, eggs, juice, milk, and snacks waiting. The kitchen is fully functional, and the whole place feels like a relaxing getaway.
