Hotel Fiesta

We were especially glad of the pool in the heat, with plenty of umbrellas to sit under. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and breakfast had tasty fruit, eggs, toast, yogurt, coffee, and tea. The staff all spoke excellent English and helped us arrange an exceptional trip to North Seymore. They can also put together a takeaway breakfast if you need to leave for an early ferry. I’d definitely return.

The quiet here was a rare treat on our three-month trip. There was no music at the bar, during breakfast, or at reception, just birds and the pool water. The pool area was lovely and very clean, and the pool was well cared for. Even with a bar there, the calm held. Check-in and check-out were very efficient, and our basic room was functional and spotless. We thought breakfast was fine despite some negative reviews. Eggs were always available, with empanadas, chia pudding, waffles, crêpes, and other choices changing from day to day. The short 7:00 to 9:00 breakfast window was a problem, though. Guests often leave early for tours, and by 7:10 there were no tables, so we had to eat by the pool. More space or longer hours would help. Food during the day was the bigger letdown. The busy pool area has no lunch service, just a cheese toast. When we tried to order one, they said they’d run out of bread. After some back and forth, they made it with another kind. My husband was sick in the room, which made the hassle especially frustrating. The supermarket is three minutes away, so it was hard to understand why they couldn’t get more bread. Four dollars for a very basic toast, with no ketchup or chips, felt unreasonable. We appreciated the rules against loud music and jumping in the pool, but they weren’t enforced, leaving guests to deal with problems themselves. If quiet, cleanliness, and a calm setting matter to you, Hotel Fiesta is a great choice. A smoother breakfast setup and a few simple lunch options would make it even better.

The pool itself was nice, but the beds and chairs around it were filthy. Their white fabric seemed impossible to keep clean, and I couldn’t find anywhere clean to sit by the water. In contrast, the rooms were basic but very clean. The bathroom was tiny and had nowhere to hang clothes, so it could use an upgrade. The common spaces were lovely, full of trees and plants, and the staff were very good. The location was convenient, close to restaurants but on a quiet lane. Breakfast was a simple, sufficient buffet.

After a long travel day between islands, the pool and hot tub were just what we needed. We only stayed one night, but the staff were great and the room suited us well. I’d stay again.
