10/10
The neighborhood has a mix of decay and construction, as in many parts of Puerto Arroya, but behind the gate the property is beautiful and relaxing. Town and the beaches are easy to reach on foot. The staff were wonderful, ready with advice and able to help arrange rides. The rooms and grounds were meticulously clean and lovely. We had a really pleasant stay at Lava House, and I highly recommend it as a base for exploring the islands.

The location is central and convenient, but still feels calm. Everything was clean and welcoming, and I felt safe there. The staff were helpful from my first contact right through checkout 😊

They made a real effort to celebrate my birthday and brought out a cake, which was lovely. The rooms were clean, and breakfast gets a 10/10 from me. The owner also makes beautiful jewelry. Great location, too!
