Pauleth and her mum made me feel welcome from day one, like part of the family. They made my week very comfortable and warm, even bringing me tea when I felt sick. Breakfast was delicious and filling every morning, with lots of options. My room was cozy, had plenty of space and a desk for work, and the bright bathroom had everything I needed. It was spotless every day. The leafy common area is lovely, and there's a big room for yoga or working out. Free water, plus the friendly cats and dog, were another nice touch. The one thing I underestimated was the nearby street. It can be quite noisy, especially early in the morning, so as a light sleeper I didn't sleep well. If you sleep soundly, it might not bother you. Aside from that, I can recommend this hospitable, beautiful place, with great hosts and a good kitchen.

I switched from another hotel at the last minute, and the owner kindly found me an affordable room. La Buena Vida is a lovely property surrounded by lots of plants and garden. My room was cleaned every day, and it had AC, a lock box, toiletries, and a powerful hot shower. The complimentary breakfast was my favorite. You can choose from a menu, and they accommodated my vegan diet. The smoothies were delicious, and the homemade bread for avocado toast was so good. I used the extra yoga room for my practice, though it's also suitable for working out or stretching. Everyone was helpful with suggestions on where to go and how to use the bus. The hotel is set back a little from the beach, but you can hear the ocean from your room, and it's only a 5 minute walk. I was very happy with my first visit to Ayampe and will book La Buena Vida again. Thank you La Buena Vida Hotel for making it special ☺️🙏

Marilyn & Keith really go out of their way for guests. The rooms are clean and super comfortable, and the staff at La Buena Vida are friendly and courteous. Breakfasts are amazing, and so is the make-your-own salad bar. Awesome place to stay, I'd definitely come back.

It felt like home away from home. I had an excellent week, with very nice rooms that were always cleaned well and a tasty breakfast with coffee, fresh fruit, juices, and more. Everyone, guests and staff alike, was super friendly. The place isn't advertised as on the beach, but it's about a 5min walk away, and a pleasant one. I stayed six days and by the end didn't want to leave. LA Buena Vida felt like a peaceful, beautiful home away from home, full of great energy. It was gorgeous and very clean, with stunning views and a lovely short walk to the beach. Everyone was friendly and respectful, and the staff paid attention to what we needed. I felt more relaxed and worry-free than I ever have. Thank you LA Buena Vida, till we meet again.
