We were busy out and about, so I didn’t mind that there wasn’t a fridge or microwave. The hotel is right in the beautiful historic area, and breakfast was extremely good. From the dining room there’s a lovely view of the Virgin of Quito and a hillside neighborhood. It was my first time in Ecuador, traveling with a group from my university. The old Spanish mansion was beautiful, with large, comfortable, clean rooms. They did my laundry for $1 a pound.

The front desk answered all my questions and shared lots of useful information. The breakfast was delicious, with an amazing view, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Hotel Casa Montero has a beautiful classic Español style. I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting to explore Quito’s historical area.

I’ve stayed here several times, and it’s a bargain. The location is great, and the rooms are clean and beautiful. Breakfast is excellent too. I miss being there, and this is the only place I want to stay when I visit Quito.

Just around the corner from La Ronda, facing Bolivar square and an old church, the location is fantastic. The classic decor, clean and well-kept hotel made for a comfortable stay. My wife and I had a pleasant time there.

From the rather plain entrance, you step into a beautiful lobby. We stayed at Casa Montero for several days at both ends of our trip, and found the rooms comfortable, clean, and secure. The staff were extremely helpful. They can arrange airport transfers and offer help with all there is to see and do in Quito’s historic center.
